The state's first lady is launching a project aimed at preserving Colorado's century-old governor's mansion, according to a report in today's Rocky Mountain News.
Jeanne Ritter hopes to establish the "Governor's Residence Preservation Fund" to pay for repairs, restoration and improvements to the Boettcher Mansion, which was built in 1908.
The house became the state's official gubernatorial residence in 1959.
